I have a camcorder coming to me in the mail. Megan and I are going to start a VLOG!! YAY. We're thinking of calling it "2 dykes 1 vlog". But for now you just have to read me.
In other news: Quincy found the BIGGEST PINE CONE IN THE WORLD!!
I have no idea where it came from. I was just in our backyard. We put up a fence in the backyard to keep him out of the garden and the compost and it makes me feel more comfortable with leaving him unattended outside. Pretty soon maybe we'll get a doggy door? I dunno....maybe.
uh..i was sick with a cold all day today. it was sooooo stupid because it was stupid hott and everything was just STUPID. GOD. so frustrating. why is it even possible to get colds in the summer anyway, wouldn't it be called a hot..in japan they say they caught a wind. i think thats cool.
Going to the country fair on Friday! Its gonna be Megan's first time and my 4th. I'm definitely taking camera.
Next week were going up to PORTLAND!! remember us, Portland? Were coming to eat your food and see BITCH play at the doug fir. Hopefully the chickens wont arrive that day or before though. I'm kinda nervous about that...but we'll figure it out. |

I have 3 more shifts left at Hot Lips. It seems like 3 too many at this point. I really hope moving to Eugene will be a positive life choice. I feel like it will be. I'm not doing anything here. I'm not progressing whatsoever. I'm ready to start doing something productive. I have been wasting my dead time with daydreaming about the ideal situation for me. This are some of the things I can see happening in my near future.
...of course after i find anything that has gold in it and sell it...

megan and i have decided to move to eugene and get educated. shes gonna go to LaneCC for english and im going back to UO for environmental studies. its gonna be difficult but im not making any progress in life here...just spending a lot of time dreaming. we really really want to get a house to ourselves and have regular dance parties. hah. but we will be serious about school too. i just filled out my FASFA and have sent in my re-enrollment so its gonna happen. the lease is up here in april and we want to be settled there by mid-march.

the fall has been so pretty. there are young oak trees outside my windows and i've gotten to see the leaves change and fall and blow. its so amazing. i think since i was born in the fall, that it makes it my season.
i had the last 2 days off and they were wasted by me being sick sick sick. im a walking lathargic mucus ball. unfortunatly i have this stupid idea to go to work today, mostly because fridays are big money days for me.
im at world cup using their internets because our faithful "reagan netgear" moved out this week. soy chai?.. i guess. since im in portland and totally in a coffee shop with a laptop..blogging. so sure a soy chai. i even have a creeper that totally has a crush on me. oh god, i hope he doesnt make an 'I Saw U' ad.
speaking of boys. i came out to my parents a week before my birthday. they're totally fine with it and stuff, and they know megans living with me and all, so everythings cool now. not that it was ever "not cool". so yeah whatever.
so, mainly im bored. I've seen edward sissorhands, and nightmare before christmas (in 3D!) in the past 2 days. i really seriously have never seen those movies to where i could remember anything about them. so now i officially have. they were cool.
one of my turntables is in the hospital with a broken arm and with its absence i kinda want to get a drum machine in its place. and do mash-ups. i think it would be fun.

last i posted, i was freaking out about how much money i spent. it was on my turntables for my new life as a DJ. so far i've DJ'ed 2 parties and i have at least two more in my future. its really fun, i really enjoy making people dance. as simple as that.
im still paying them off.
i have a bass guitar coming to me in the mail. its white with a black pick guard, fender body. im gonna put rainbow "V" stickers all over it. cuz thats the name of our band. The V's. well it is right now anyway. Oh, im in a band. With my girlfriend and her friend. We're gonna be better than The Gossip, Sleater-Kinney, AND Swan Island all put together cuz we're all so gosh darn cute. OH, i have a girlfriend, shes amazing. Megan, you can call her. She gets up extreamely early to make cupcakes for a living. Im gonna give her a copy of my keys today. yeah, today. We both dont know what we want to do with our lives, but we know we want each other. right now, thats enough for me. We say we distract each other, but really life was distracting us FROM each other.
We're going to Bumbershoot this weekend. We're gonna stay on Vashon Island, in a teepee. She likes doing stuff with me.
Rasta is still the most adorable animal in my apartment. Well, after me.
The garden is probably being neglected, since im so distracted and my dad doesnt even know all of what i planted. Its ok though. We'll be better at it next time. |

So...the universe handed me a beautiful new companion. Her name is Rasta and she was rescued and then her rescuer was recently hospitalized so she asked me to take her. She had no name when I received her but she seemed to like my reggae playing and I also think she kinda looks like Bob Marley. so out of respect of the Rastafarians, I named her Rasta. Also her she only has half of a tail and it looks like a natty dread..
Shes so sweet and NORMAL unlike Bennie. but i still love him.

so i did it. i had a positive weekend! Although i wish the weather would have been nicer, i had a great time in eugene seeing karlin, amy, and charles. Also im glad i got to bring them to emily's show cuz they loved it and i loved how they loved it. on saturday the universe did NOT know what to do with me. at first since it was crappy weather, i was sick, i couldnt get a hold of anyone, and the online bus schedule wasnt working, it was telling me not to go to cottage grove. so i responded and hung out with amy. but then claire called me. it was about 6 and she said she was in eugene with her car and about to go back to cottage grove. she also told me she was going to the show, would let me stay at her place AND drive me back to eugene in the morning. so i took a little time trying to figure that out and ended up taking her up on the offer.
so we got to cottage grove right on time for the show. got to briefly reconnect with the folks down there and also meet some new aprovechians (who LOVED me because i told them dirty gossip, they had also told me that people talked about me sometimes and they always wanted to meet me, that made me feel good that i wasnt forgotten). they came with josh. who, i had friction with. he approached me peacefully and asked if i had anywhere to stay that night. i did. but what was really important is he offered to stay at apro. which really really meant a lot to me. i thanked him and hugged him and then we talked about apro life and whats going on. i guess we just both got over it. i KNEW he had the peace in him. he had also just dropped off my friend (his partner), sallie, in santa cruz for a 6 month long permaculture certification course. so they had to break up for the time being and he was sad and i felt that. we were both emotionally stripped i guess.
so i danced my ass off, which is really easy to do there, especially with sassparilla playing. people know me there as the dancer and they all get up to dance when they see me. its kinda special. after the show claire took me to her house in Cerro Gordo. which is FUCKING AMAZING. i had heard about cerro gordo and its like one of the first intentional communities and a lot of fore fathers of eugene's hippy movement lived there. she lives with this guy james, who is a glass blower and sells pipes and other decorative glass online. she takes pictures of them and so they have this little business going on. she also is still crazy beautiful and i still love talking to her. we actually got to talk about a lot of stuff and both got to figure out a little about ourselves in the process. fuck. i really have amazing people in my life.
i got home yesterday and bennie was peaceful and the place was clean and ambers presence was gone. except for a red dress she left on the vanity. i think she left it on purpose. but we'll have to see about that. its kinda weird to have it here because it reminds me of the lack of femininity in this apartment and in my life.
yeah so i love feeling this way again. i also want to thank everyone for being my friend and letting me be myself. |

so im currently inserted in an intense week. it started out with me finding out some information i'd rather not of, but needed to be told anyway. so i dealt with it by brewing my first dark beer ever. im calling it the vagabond brew, just because im ready to travel a bit. started my dads garden which was so fucking amazing because i finally got back the land after a hiatus. MAGGIE called me yesterday. told me shes totally gonna be here for tayberry jam 2.
i got to see the fucking oohlas last night for the first time ever. got to meet ALL of them (well minus the drummer, but hes just a touring drummer). ollie was adorable as expected. greg was a little sauced and super friendly. mark was so bitty and cutie. there were like 12 people at the concert. stephanie and i were the only ones there for them, which was actually super special cuz they LOVED it. ollie gave us free buttons and a posters.
and so TONIGHT i get to see Bitch perform. but not only will it be her but also her lovely girlfriend Daniela Sea. im super pumped for that performance...and the fellow Bitch lovers.
im hoping these first few days will charge me for the weekend because im gonna need a lot of positive energy for letting amber housesit for one, and two seeing people i havent seen in while, including clair (who also called me). but im also SUPER stoked to be in eugene/cottage grove for 4/20 and saturday market and a lil bit of earth day AND seeing emily with sassparilla play.
my work, hot lips in the pearl, is hiring for counter person and delivery drivers. so if anyone wants/needs a job, theres a heads up, and i'll put in a good word for you. |
